Designing for You: Liquid Interiors’ Vision for 2025 Trends

24/01/2025

Welcoming 2025, Liquid Interiors is excited to share the interior design trends that resonate with our philosophy of creating sanctuaries that nurture both people and the planet. This year brings a wave of creativity, comfort, and sustainability, reflecting our commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients. Here’s how we envision these trends shaping your spaces:

  1. Rich Earth Tones

This year we are using the colors from nature and embracing deep, rich colors like burgundy and terracotta and fun patterns, putting them together in a fun way. These rich earth tones add warmth and character, transforming your home into a cozy retreat that reflects your unique style.

  1. Biophilic Design

At Liquid Interiors, we believe in the power of nature. Biophilic design is an innovative approach to interior design that seeks to connect people with nature. This concept is rooted in the idea that humans have an inherent connection to the natural world, and integrating natural elements into our built environments can enhance our well-being and overall quality of life.

Consider nature as art. Integrating plants into your spaces through potted plants or gardens adds vibrancy and creates a harmonious balance to your home. Plants can also help to reduce stress, increase productivity, and promote relaxation.

  1. Textured Surfaces

We’re excited to incorporate dynamic textures into our designs with textured surfaces. Textured surfaces such as decorative plaster walls and marble walls add depth and dimension to rooms, breaking the monotony of flat, smooth finishes. They create visual intrigue and can transform the ambiance of a space which creates a more interesting and engaging atmosphere. The textured walls are great as they are more forgiving when it comes to stains.

  1. Sustainable Materials

Sustainability is at the heart of what we do at Liquid Interiors. We understand that the choices we make in materials can have a profound impact on both the environment and the well-being of our clients. By incorporating sustainable materials into our designs, we strive to create stylish interiors that reflect your values while contributing positively to the planet. Our team is proud to be working on projects within the certification of BEAM for residential (Building Energy and Environmental Assessment Method), as well as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for commercial projects.

Solid surfaces made from rice husks, eggshells, and recycled plastic bottles offer a unique blend of sustainability and style. These innovative materials can be utilized in a sophisticated manner, proving that eco-friendly choices don’t have to compromise on elegance. The material board showcases the materials that will be used in an indoor children’s playground and library.

  1. Casually Comfortable Furniture

As we move away from the stark lines of minimalist modern furniture, many people are seeking a more homey vibe that resonates with their desire for comfort and connection. Oversized sofas and deep-seated chairs will take center stage, inviting you to sink in and unwind after a long day. These inviting furnishings are designed not just for aesthetics but to create a welcoming atmosphere where you can truly relax and feel at ease. Cozy textiles, plush cushions, and generous dimensions will be key elements in crafting spaces that feel nurturing and lived-in.

  1. Sensorial Design

Lighting has the power to transform a space, setting the mood and enhancing every moment. Imagine a home where each room is illuminated in a way that feels inviting and comforting, from soft night lights that create a serene ambiance in bedrooms to stylish hallway lights that guide you gently through your home.

Adjustable lighting options will allow you to customize the atmosphere to suit your needs, whether you’re looking for bright task lighting during the day or warm, dimmed lights for a cozy evening.

  1. Expressing your personality

Expressing personality and embracing individuality in your home will take center stage as a bold design choice. This approach encourages the use of artful furniture, striking lighting, and eclectic wallpaper to create a space that truly reflects who you are. Imagine a room filled with statement pieces—furniture that doubles as art, eye-catching light fixtures that draw the eye, and wallpaper that adds a dynamic backdrop to your curated collection

  1. Antique Influences

Classic styles are making a triumphant comeback, and we couldn’t be more excited! By blending antique influences with modern design elements, you can infuse your spaces with character and a sense of nostalgia, resulting in environments that feel both familiar and refreshingly contemporary. This harmonious fusion invites you to explore various design elements, such as elegant moldings that add sophistication, and timeless color palettes that evoke warmth and comfort.

  1. Quality over quantity

Quality over quantity is the guiding mantra for mindful minimalism, and in 2025, we’ll embrace this philosophy by helping you select fewer but better pieces that are built to last. This approach promotes a clutter-free, stress-reducing environment, allowing your home to feel light and airy.

  1. Wellness-Centric Spaces

Finally, wellness-centric spaces will be a key focus in our designs for 2025, as we strive to create environments that prioritize relaxation and comfort. Imagine serene color palettes that soothe the mind and cozy reading nooks that invite you to unwind with a good book. Your home should be a haven that supports your mental and physical well-being, providing daily retreat spaces where you can escape the stresses of life. Incorporating acoustic design elements will further enhance this atmosphere, reducing noise and creating a peaceful environment conducive to mindfulness and relaxation.
